VON Windsor-Essex Funded for Special Client Services During COVID-19
VON SUPPORTS COMMUNITY IN PANDEMIC
Windsor, ON July 28, 2020 –VON Windsor-Essex (Victorian Order of Nurses) is pleased to announce new funding support received from the Ontario Community Support Association (OSCA) of $31,850.
“Thanks to a grant of $31,850.00 from the Ontario Community Support Association (OCSA), 400 clients in the VON Windsor-Essex Community Support Service programs will be receiving Food Boxes. Deliveries will began Friday July 23, 2020. VON and the clients in our Adult Day Program, Home Help and Supportive Housing are very grateful for the OCSA as they continue to work with businesses, volunteer organizations and non-profits making it easier for Windsor-Essex most vulnerable to receive meals and other essentials they need to stay safe at home.“ – Nicole Hunter, Manager, Home and Community Care VON, Erie St. Clair.
VON has continued to provide critical service and supports to the most vulnerable in our community throughout the pandemic. VON’s efforts have assisted vulnerable residents in remaining in their homes and in safety throughout the pandemic. The Food Box program is just one example of innovative approaches VON has taken to rise to the challenge of meeting the needs of our community throughout the pandemic. VON Windsor-Essex, a charitable organization, was established in 1927 and is dedicated to being a leader in the delivery of innovative comprehensive health and social services in this community. VON is reliant upon and grateful for the generous support of local donors and funders.
