VON Virtual Trivia Challenge – Play from Anywhere!

After 24 years, the VON Trivia Challenge is going virtual for 2020 presented by RBC Dominion Securities. We hope you will join us in an evening of fun facts and cash prizes all in support of VON services and those who rely on them to Live Every Day to the fullest.

Who: Anyone can join and play from anywhere. Play as a team of one or an unlimited number of team members. (Your place in the standings will be calculated by the accuracy and speed of each team members answers.)
Students registering with their school email address can request a promo code and save $10.

How: Purchase your $25 game ticket here. Be sure to include your correct email address.
Please note: Ticket purchases do not qualify for a tax receipt as each participant is provided with equal opportunity to win a prize.

WHAT: VON Windsor-Essex has relocated two of its clinics.

1. The Chronic Pain Management and Referral Program; and the
2. Bilingual Clinic

WHEN: Effective immediately

WHERE: Both VON clinics are now located at 8424 Wyandotte Street East (located within the Valor Health Pharmacy)

Grocery Delivery Program

Volunteers at the Grocery Delivery Program help to fill a unique gap during these uncertain times. As a result of COVID-19, the Grocery Delivery Program helps clients to continue to live independently in their homes. The Grocery Delivery Program is a free service.

The volunteers help to enrich the client’s home by providing a personalized service, wonderful customer service and a warm smile.

Grocery Delivery Program Volunteers will grocery shop and deliver the groceries in a safe and timely manner. Participation is based on the needs of the clients and the availability of the volunteer.

Volunteers need to provide references, police clearance and complete a formal interview.

VON DELIEVERS NEARLY 9000 FREE MEALS IN WINDSOR

 

Windsor, Ontario, October 7, 2020 – VON Windsor-Essex (Victorian Order of Nurses) is proud to share that as of September 15th, our Meals on Wheels volunteers have delivered 8920 meals thanks to the funding support of the Ontario Community Support Association (OSCA).
